School Vision

Mission Statement - 'Achievement for all'
Proverbs 8:11
For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

We believe in living "life in all its fullness"

We do this through our values of:

Wisdom, Dignity, Hope and Community.

We believe learning creates wisdom, kindness fosters community, opportunities give hope and respect brings dignity.

School Values

During Collective Worship (Assembly) , which takes place every day, we teach the children about the following Christian Values, which we believe have an important part to play in everyone's lives, whether Christian or not. Through Bible stories we teach our children to be tolerant of others who may have different beliefs to our own.

Our School Council plans and organises charity events that benefit people locally, nationally & globally. Children are democratically elected to these positions by children in the school.

Each class writes their own 'Class charter' at the beginning of the year which each child signs up to, these charters emphasise the value of respecting others.

Through PSHE lessons children learn many life skills, including the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. Our RE scheme of work also provides opportunities for children to learn and understand about different faiths & beliefs. Previous visitors to school have included our local PCSO, the Fire service and MP Justin Tomlinson who talked to the children about democracy.
